For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Leeds vs Rotherham tonight - should be pretty interesting, seeing as they got 4 points from us last term. Let's hope there's some revenge on the cards tonight.

Bah. 1 - 1 at home to Yeovil.

We had a goal dissallowed after 45 seconds for offside but I'm not sure. Then after that they go and score on six minutes. Rest of the game was pretty even, with us then scoring midway through the second half.

We really need to start picking up our game now - we're starting to lack behind.

Its certainly possible, you only have to look how we got out of that league last season. We had Turner in charge in September and things were going awful and we looked more like relagation fodder than promo material. Turner gets the sack, Sturrock is appointed. It still took a good few months before we started to look anything like decent and managed to get a good Xmas run and it put us in place. Thankfully managed to maintain that and it took us to the Playoffs. Next thing i know im with 40,000 Wednesdayites in Cardiff celebrating promotion.

It didnt look anything likely till last November. We started awful, and it ended wonderful.

You never know what will happen.

Hopefully we can turn it round like Palace have done in their last few games.

There's always room to 'Do a Crystal Palace' in any league. Although even in my eternal optomism, i know we suck worse than cheap hooker, so it isn't likely...

Yeah, at least we can be united in our love for our Manchester born (but Yorkshire bred, which is what counts) Yorkshire and England cricket captain.

Yorkshire - heart of the nation.

We hammered you in the first half and deserved to go in at half time in the lead. Second half we started the better, but as the half went on your lot started to get in the game more and more, but we still created more chances, even cracking the cross bar.

Over all though, from my point of view (and my bro sat in the away end) we looked the better team and our lads seemed up for it more.

Just the result we needed to kick start our season.

Been a good week for Sheffield. Us winning, Blades on top (grrrr) Clinton Woods winning the boxing last week, and Vaughny captains England to the Ashes win, which is great him being a Wednesdayite and all.

Oh and shut up Reynolds :p

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
