For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Have to say I'm a tiny bit proud of the young Town lads. They seem to be holding their own in this league and won 3-1 on Saturday.

Still you have two games in hand and if you can capitalise on that ....

Did you notice Luton lost again! Third time in a row I think. They are being pegged back slowly but surely. I thought they were going to run away with the league even though it is still early in the season.

We lost! :(

I didnt get to the game, but listened to it on the radio while i was out. It was 0-0 and had to turn the radio off for a moment, and when i came to turn it back on, the commentator shouted "Sheffield Wednesday!", and i thought, get in! We have scored. The chap then went on to say "...have conceded 2 goals in 2 minutes!".

I was in dispair.

Still, Bradford are flying, and now we have to look to yet another away game, 3rd in a row, in midweek, before another derby game against Chesterfield on Saturday.

Played okay, got the points, three off the playoffs. We just need to keep winning.

Justin Richards' finishing needs some learning, Quint, otherwise he is class.

Sorry, wasn't ignoring you :)

Yes they were away when they beat Luton so it was an excellent result and didn't Luton lose again mid week. Looks like they've hit a rocky patch and the chasing pack can take advantage and catch up.

Excellent result against Luton and then got thrashed at home on Tuesday by Tranmere. At home again today again MK Dons. Praying for a good result but it looks like our first choice goalie will be missing today.

You have a tough game today. Bradford really are flying and I don't think they will be happy to leave today with just a draw.

Are you going to the game today ©H®I§? Was hoping to go myself but cant make it. Gona be a tough game for us though, your flying at the minute. We are starting to play some good stuff now though, so i would hope it will be a good game.

I would be pleased with a draw though.

I myself got back from Hillsborough recently, and we came away with a win. Beat Barnsley 1-0, and played pretty well, so pleased with that. Got a game in hand, 3 points off the playoffs.

Got Peterborough midweek.

I spent yesterday afternoon dying on the sofa watching the scores come in and was pleased when Bradford went ahead. I couldn't believe the final score. I thought it was over when it went to 4 - 4.

Typical result for Town. Beat the top of the league but lose to the lower clubs. Did that a lot last season as well :)

.. and excellent, the Rhinos won yesterday. I've waiting flipping years for them to acheive something like their win.

I am pleased with a 5 - 4 win for the Bantams, as we actually score more than 2 or 3 in a game although we let in 4, but another 90th minute winner takes us in to 3rd. :D

Although Bulls lost the Grand Final yesterday. :(
