Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.
As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him
We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.
I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.
So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?
Up the Owls!!

The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!!

How is Pressy doing? Is he in the team much?
We really could do with him at the moment. Our No.1 keeper is out till Christmas, and we have Tidman in net, and to be honest, you wouldnt trust him to handle a bag of spuds, never mind a football.
Chesterfield this weekend. If we lose to them, i will be more gutted than i was last night.
Trouble is we have such a young team that they arent experienced enough at the back.
Sturrock will get it right...soon...i hope.
:(

Get back to work slacker :P
I am in a very good and optimistic mood so I'm sending some of it towards the Owls so that you get the result you want (need) :)
Our defence needs sorting badly. We have the ability to score, just we seem to be letting in the early goal, and then not always recovering.
Its a bit like last season. Bristol City went on an 11 game winning streak, then we beat them at Hillsborough, and they couldnt find there form back, and then didnt even go up.
Any team within 9 points of the Play off spot at the moment still has a great chance to get in there...so thats pretty much half the teams in the league.
