Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.
As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him
We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.
I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.
So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?
Up the Owls!!

The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!! The Owls are goin' up!!!
> Up the Owls!
Na definitely not...they should acheive so much more but fail to deliver!
Owls play Barnsley at Hillsborough on Sunday, 2pm, which is when most of our derby games are played these days because of 'suspected crowd trouble'. Though it never really happens.
Not had a game in 2 weeks, so Sturrock has had a good length of time to get his ideas into there heads, and now is time to put them into use.
Im expecting a win *touch wood* because we need the points, and i have too many friends who support the tykes to even consider losing.
Up the Owls!
Though when banded together with the performance, its three points clearer of relegation, not three points closer to the play-offs. We need all three on next Saturday away to Hereford; certainly no easy task.
Subject to agreeing personal terms and passing a medical, Welsh striker Christian Roberts looks set to leave Ashton Gate for Championship side Cardiff City, in need of a new striker after Rob Earnshaw left for West Brom.
And no, that's not the worst part...
We were badly ripped off with the Scott Murray sale, I feel - even though we got him back in the long run - but, just how much is being exchanged this time?
£20,000!!!
(...with the fee rising to £30,000, 'pending appearences and that.)
Didn't Cardiff get the best part of £5m for Earnshaw?
Why can't we hold 'em to ransom for more of that - seeing as they have money; we don't, and Roberts, as a goal-scorer, is one of our most-valued prized assets?!
:P
:(
:@
> Does that mean that they will be in a winning side for a change?
One of them plays for Northern Ireland...so not really :D

Thats true, sadly Lee Peacock is now out for 10 weeks so ive read, so thats not good. Least we have the might Kim Olsen *cough* and one of your rejects back, Craig Armstrong....*cough cough* Cant believe we gave you a fee for him....
Decided to cut down on the away games for the next two months because i need to get some money for my car (excluding the F.A Cup of course) but they're all 150+ miles anyway.
Were in 14th at the moment, terrible terible terrible. Manager had a confrontation in front of our terrace with about 150 fans, was quite funnehh.
Kidding, just kidding, stop scowling at me :)
At least it will give you chance to get back your injured players.
We can! :)
What is clever for some keepers so they don't come off the line stand behind the line and jum forward on to the line, that is what two keepers did on the first game of the season and they both saved the penalty.
