For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Brilliant result today, 2 - 0, with some fortunate refereeing. I say fortunate, if a player is stupid enough to tackle somebody high, and two-footed, he deserves to go. Yes? Yes. If a player grabs another one around the neck whilst on a yellow card, he deserves to go. Yes? Yes. And they did.

And once down to 9 men even a fortunate penalty for us wasn't going to alter the direction of the match.

Awful result for us today losing at home to Bradford 2-1. Had good spells in the game and should have made the most of them, but didnt, and a costly mistake by our below standard right back resulted in the loss.

The team hasnt lost before today for ages, but we had only 12 fit seniors not too long ago. The team needs investment now, and since Mr Allen sent Ken Bates and his £10 million on there merry way not too long ago up the M1, he better start showing it was a good decision.

Play Offs are very very possible, and we still have a chance of getting into the top 2. But we need a player or two.

Huge game today. Play-off six pointer and local derby at home to Crawley.

Notoriously unreliable sums them up perfectly here.

Lol, you say that nearly every week.

The notoriously unreliable BBC site says Tamworth had more shots.......

2 - 1.

Could and should have been more over a Tamworth team that were plainly average. This is why we doubled them this season.

Ahahaha, I am weeping.

I have not ONCE said we'd definitely get in the play-offs. I've said we're in with a real chance of getting there, but that's cold, hard fact. Any team from 2nd down to 11th is in with a chance of making or not making it. And I don't know where the hell you get this idea of being third for a couple of weeks makes you instantly more likely to make the play-offs. Everton have been 2nd, 3rd and 4th all season but I don't think the chances of them making the Champ's League aren't brilliant. You're clearly talking crap.

And I do, at the start of the season, remember you saying you thought you might win it.

The latter yes, the former no. But then, i expected you to come out with that.

Makes me laugh Woking ahead of us for the first time in ages, and suddenly you think you're the nads. At the end of the day you can spout all you want about how you consider yourselves as play-off hopefuls but whats the closest you've been? 6th place for one week and then you bottled it. Chances are you'll do the same. Whereas we've sat pretty in 3rd place for a couple of weeks, speaks volumes to me.

Please, behave yourself, it's only 7th place WOOOAHHHHHH!1 NOSE BLEED TIME!!

Aha, oh dear.

Before the season had started you were hoping you'd win it and expecting a surefire top three finish. I remember this.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
