For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

I doubt you'll get promoted mate. If some one lower in the league beats you and were playing better I doubt you'll gte promoted. I bet Luton, Hull and Tranmere will go up.

I finally have my computer back to rub in the second win of the season for Bradford City over Sheffield Wednesday and that was our first double of the season and what a peach! :D

We got a scruffy win last night against Peterborough. Won 2-1 with Maclean getting his 19th of the season.

Keeps us firmly in the play off pack.

Were gradually slipping down the table, but i'm hopefull we have what it takes to pull away from the bottom end, the best we can hope for now is a mid-table finish.

I wasn't saying it does, just merely mentioning you have them on saturday which is good for you.

Have you not wondered why a conference team hasn't appeared in the final since 01-02 the year before the play-offs were introduced? Co-incidence? I think not.

I remember you writing off Hereford as well, they're in a very good position now and picking up momentum. Odd because i wrote off Aldershot at xmas as well and look where they are. And Accy as well the worst team to play us at home.

Certainly was, and you've got them on saturday. Again we seem to do well against the better sides, we're just as likely to get caned by FGR on saturday.
