For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

We have a slight chance of getting there, but we'll need to get at least 20 points out of the last 30 to get there and stay there. Now that we have broken our home hoodo we can get more points and we are playing quite near the top and a couple of crappy ones, we can do well. I reckon we'll get about
18 points and I think we'll finish 8th, but I still think thats good to say we were nearly out of business at the start of the season. I think Wednesday won't go up, but will stay in the play offs and maybe get to the final.

Bradford done well against the other Yorkshire teams this season, but realisticly I think getting into the top 6 might be just a bit beyond you.

We have a chance of going 3rd tomorrow, we have Doncaster at home. I got the afternoon of work to go to the game, so i better be repayed for my loyatly. This is Donnys cup final against us, so they will be up for it, but they were suppose to be up for it at Bell Vue before Xmas, and i was there to see us maul them 4-1. Tomorrow will be tough, but i expect us to win, and we need the points.

Ill put my money on it and say i think we will finish 4th.

E I E I E I O UP THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE WE GO, WHEN WE WIN PROMOTION THIS IS WHAT WE SING, WE ARE WEDNESDAY WE ARE WEDNESDAY STURROCK IS OUR KING!

Another successful Yorkshire derby for Bradford City today, winning 2-0 at Huddersfield. We almost officially have bragging rights in Yorkshire, just Hull and Doncaster to beat again. :D

This also stops the run of not winning at home since October and keeps our play off hopes alight in 8th or 9th and about 4 points off of the play off places. It also past the 50 point mark which people say how many points you need to make sure you don't get relegated, which I am also sure we won't and hopefully we can get the 4th play off place.

HULSE FOR ENGLAND!

Seriously, this man is a machine. 3 goals, 3 games. And against 2 of teh best sides in the division. If Leeds can afford him, it's looking like we'll need him if we want to put up any kind of promotion charge next season.

Not that we oculdn't get up this season, mind. We've just beaten West Ham thanks to super Sean Derry (another one of Blackwell's astute signings) and we're only 4 points off the playoff positions. If Crystal Palace could do it, i'm not betting against Blackwell's boys doing it.

Of course, we have played a few games more but, for heavens sake - this division is hardly the most consistant for teams at the top, is it? Most of the top 10 lost today.

Leeds' future is looking up.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
