For starters, let me say i hate this new way to name the leagues. Calling them Division 1, 2 and 3 made alot more sense. None the less...

Its nearly that time again! The season for us lot kicks off next weekend, after, for me, what seemed like a long summer, and i for one cant wait for the season to start.

As always, i have my season ticket and im pretty confident of what The Owls can achieve this season, im just hoping this season can be the one where the rot stops, and we gain promotion. We have a whole new team almost. We released 15 players last season, and signed 11 this, including ex Southampton captain Chrissy Marsden, and then a squad of good young players who all look the part to go with him

We have 2 friendlies left against the Bolton and Everton, and in our previous friendlies we have looked good.

I know there are a number of you lot who support teams in the lower leagues, so lets not let this forum be over run by Premiership talk and such. After all, our clubs are just as important as the bigger clubs.

So what are your hopes and fears for the new season? Who you looking forward to playing the most?

Up the Owls!!

Not you as well :(

It has to be my turn for the bragging rights sometime this season. Doesn't it?

Apparently City should hae won on Saturday as in the last ten minutes we had many chances, with one of them hitting the post.

City ended up drawing 2-2 with Peterbrough, after going 2-0 down in the first half, the first being a goalkeeping howler, but I haven't seen the goals yet. Also Dean Windass is now joint second in the top scorers list with Abbot on 20 after scoring 2 yesterday and he is 3 behind Elliot who has now just come back from injury.

Owls got a hard fought 3-2 win at home today against Blackpool. Keeps us firmly in the Playoffs and still in sight, if only just, of Hull.

Got my Huddersfield tickets too, so will be making the short trip to the *sniggers* Galfarm Stadium in a few weeks time.

Just to rub it in even more, I found this as one of the first posts on the day the original post was posted. I am a good predictor! :P

And look at your reply:

Computer had been broken. But it was fixed just after the Seffield Wednesday game and then I could rub it in to both of you . . . which no doubt I did! :D

We have Peterbrough today, so hopefully with our away form and them being in the bottom four we should get a good win and star going on a winning streak.
