Why do they just keep buying very good players, when they could buy excellent players with the near "unlimited" funds they have to spend with. I mean, they've just bid 24 million for Drogba, OK he is a very good striker, but, quite frankly, Chelsea could easily do better. Your views on this?

No that's not true. He doesn't invest money in the club til it's needed, and the club then spends it straight away. So actually you're not. The richest is Man Utd, closely followed by Spurs actually :D, just the damned board won't let us spend it.
True, but what we're trying to say here is that we technically do have the most money in the Premiership because if Kenyon asks Abramovich for transfer money, he gets it. Simple.

The manager knows what he's doing and he's already proved that by winning the Champions League with Porto.
He's building a team that can play well together and not going for big name players like Real Madrid did.

Anyways, if I was Chelsea manager and had all this money to spend I'd have this team:

No way. He had his prime when he was young. The age of 28 isn't the prime for every player. Owen was in his prime when he was 18 and up to the last world cup.
Rooney will be the same. He'll be past it by 23. He'll have problems with his weight....
