I was watching the build up for france vs greece (well done greece) when i saw a video replay of the beckham penalty against portugal in ultra slow motion. It clearly showed not only did a lump of turf fly off the ground, but the BALL MOVED! the ball rolle foward about 10cm before becks even kicked it. as beckham was about to strike, when his foot was about to strike the ball, it rolled! Thats why you cant blame him for the defeat or the england balls blame Urs meiers for disallowing campbells goal and for not changing ends in the shootout, because if the portugese went first, they would of skied it over. I smell something fishy about the portugese....

Ricardo was tight to go for the ball, but it still doesn't change the fact that it was a CLEAR GOAL.

What's Terry supposed to do then?

Run off whenever he see's the Goalkeeper running at him, don't be stupid.

Yea well.. in my old Secondary school one of the pitches had so much mud in the centre circle that it got tiring and you couldn't pass on it cos the ball would get stuck in the mud.

Still better than our old school pitch though. Just used to be a big hole in the ground! Used to fill up when it rained!

Always look for a scapegoat too, instead of looking for faults in their players and tactics they look for a much easier target to blame.

Players have the right to stand there ground.

If it happened at the other end, I wouldn't be grieved if it was allowed. Yes, theres no doubt I'd be p!ssed off, but that'd be because the defence was so sh!te in the first place. Not because the goal shouldn't have stood.

Yeah, calling it a matter of cheating is missing the actual point.

You do realise how ridiculous it is saying the Portugese are cheaters because we missed penalties from exactly the same spot they took theirs from, don't you?

The English take football too seriously.

Is Terry just expected to disapear into thin air?

And anyway,

It's like taking a free kick and claiming it's a foul because the wall got in the way.

His technique is poor, that's fair comment.

But you can't help but wonder if the ball didn't roll, whether it would've found the top right corner of the net.
