I was watching the build up for france vs greece (well done greece) when i saw a video replay of the beckham penalty against portugal in ultra slow motion. It clearly showed not only did a lump of turf fly off the ground, but the BALL MOVED! the ball rolle foward about 10cm before becks even kicked it. as beckham was about to strike, when his foot was about to strike the ball, it rolled! Thats why you cant blame him for the defeat or the england balls blame Urs meiers for disallowing campbells goal and for not changing ends in the shootout, because if the portugese went first, they would of skied it over. I smell something fishy about the portugese....

Beckham knocked the ground up to the ball so the ball moved so it was his own fault.

And Beckham virtually fell tothe ground on the run up to his penalty, no wonder he missed.

The ball may have moved, but, i can't remember who it was, it was an ENglish palyer though, but Ricardo moaned for him putting the ball out of the penalty spot, and when they lookd at it from behind, it was about a foot off the middle, you can tell becasue the penalty spot was about 4 yards wide, and the ball was still on teh grass.

It was one of the dullest international games I've seen.

We weren't pushing forward whatsoever, and concentrating on time-wasting rather than playing the ball purposefully. In a nutshell, we sat back and defended after Owen's third minute goal and so for the majority of that ninety minutes, it was left to Portugal to push up on the attack who - as a poor team for finishing - weren't very entertaining either.

We proved that we were the better side, scoring goals exactly when we needed to, but the lack of flair about us for the rest of the game was agonisingly boring. We were a bunch of idiots out there - and the fact that the referee felt like stopping the game every minute for some ridiculous decision meant there was no sense of momentum whatsoever.
