I saw several panicked moments. It was like the Argentina game, which we won. Horrible to watch because I was thinking they would score at any second. You can't sit back and just defend against a team of France's quality for 45 minutes. It doesn't work.

In a pedantic completely none football way yes. I take it you have never played football before at a competitive level or for that matter taken a huge interest in it? A comment like faultess is within the football boundary. Of course free kicks are given away but we dealt with them, defensively we were awesome. Zidane, Henry on Vieira were all shooting from 25 - 30 yards out and towards the end Henry and Trezeguet had given up. We out played them until Heskey came on and gave away a free kick in a situation that NO other England player had all night.

The word faultless would make me assume you mean we had done nothing that could be considered, “wrong”.

We may not have conceded a goal, but a free kick, being against the rules would be “wrong”, would it not?

Oh and we hadn't conceeded a free kick that put us behind up until that point and to my knowledge we were heading for a win up until Heskey came back to make a challenge he didn't need to make to spoil everything the others had worked for.

And if your saying Heskey shouldn't have even been there, surely you must blame Eriksson for it. Heskey didn't say "Right guv, I'm going on" now did he?

Yes we can, he made the foul, it was his fault, it wasn't even a decent attempt. Everyone else was faultess up to that point.

We were worse on the day, and that was proven.

You can't just lay all the blame on Heskey.

Yes which wasn't the players who had worked for 87 minutes throwing everything they had into the game to stop them from creating anything only for one idiot who shouldn't even be there to come along an do something he didn't even need to do.

Yeah the game is over but we can still prove we are the best side in Europe and they will, I am sure of it.

We were better than the French, far better and this will be proven.

The better team doesn't concede two goals from two fouls in the dying moments of a crucial game.
