The fact that Zidane had a free kick 20 yards out wasn't a fluke. The ref didn't just decide "ooh haven't given one of them in a while." We conceded a free kick. It was our (Heskey's) fault. That's not holding them in open play.

Holding them in open play is if we lose on penalties. We didn't. We conceded a free kick and a penalty in open play.

I agree that we out-played France for 90mins.

It owed more to misfortune that we lost that game, than anything else.

That is your opinion.

Mine is that we had to sit there because we couldn't sting 4 passes together.

Poor against France? We sat on the 18 yard line and reduced them to long distance shots, it could have gone on all day in open play and England would have held them. Football isn't all about crashing forward, England showed in that game that they can keep teams held durimg open play. Not sure how much football you have played or how much you are into football but watching England's defensive performance against France was as enjoyable as watching Rooney yesterday.

I concur, as the isobars indicate high air pressure with strong westerly winds.

Funnily enough; I've noticed that throughout the tournament, the weather in Portugal has been exactly the same as here in Liverpool.

Quite strange, but a pointless statistic nevertheless.

I only watched the second half in which we looked poor. We were always on the back foot and were just grateful to hoof the ball clear.

I think the sending off won us that game.

We did play well against them.

Don't agree with that at all.
