They pushed and got that second goal that they needed. I'm not saying they didn't play for a 2-2 draw, but they didn't fix it. The Swede's new a 2-2 draw would take them through, and once they got that second goal, there was what, 3 minutes left, so they just passed it around a bit. They didn't need to score again to go through, so they just protected what they had and passed it around.
