Thought I'd do one of these instead of everyone posting random topics about teams transfer activities this summer.

----------------

Today's big story is that Roberto Carlos is set to move to Chelsea for £20 Mill at the age of 31 that is an excessive amount of money for someone of that age and what will this mean for Wayne Bridge? and im sure Franky Lampard will not be happy at Carlos' reported 120k a week wages!

In other news, Smith seem's set to have a medical on wednedsday at OT in a deal which will see Danny Pugh go the other way. Birmingham are closing in on Muzzy Izzet and Dickov and Darren Purse is set for a move to Norwich City for 500k a snip seeing as though there were figures of £5 mill flying around a few years ago.

Anymore for anymore?

I have huge respect for arsenal and wenger, may take the pisss a bit and join the "dirty arsenal" chants but they are a quality outfit built on a blend of respect and team spirit which is how any team should be formed.

However i think the "hadn't done enough in the transfer market" argument still stands. Yes you won the league, but you didn't have any really serious injuries either, your squad was at the beginnig of the season was skeletal at best. A 3 month plus injury to Campbell, Viera or Henry could have seriously destroyed the season.

Lose Campbell and you would have had no centre backs, and toure's good season probably would not have happened due to a lack of a strong partner, and essential element for any young quality defender. Lose HEnry you lost your talisman and a lot of goals. Just viera and you might have coped, although he is awesome your midfield is fairly well stocked. At least now you have the forward situation sorted. A reliable enough goalie, even if he is a bit erratic and crazy. I still think you need at least 2 more defenders in the summer to ensure you have squad depth to match everyone else.

chelsea must play catch up and naturally arsenal start favourites, but who knows what the summer will bring!

Wouldn't mind Fergie bringing Kluivert to Old Trafford. We'd have probably the best strikeforce in the premiership then

No I didn't say you did. I was calling us no hopers. Just using your phrase, hence the " ".
