Today's big story is that Roberto Carlos is set to move to Chelsea for £20 Mill at the age of 31 that is an excessive amount of money for someone of that age and what will this mean for Wayne Bridge? and im sure Franky Lampard will not be happy at Carlos' reported 120k a week wages!
In other news, Smith seem's set to have a medical on wednedsday at OT in a deal which will see Danny Pugh go the other way. Birmingham are closing in on Muzzy Izzet and Dickov and Darren Purse is set for a move to Norwich City for 500k a snip seeing as though there were figures of £5 mill flying around a few years ago.
Anymore for anymore?

Almost being a very key word there.....
He's still clumsy.

That made me smile :)

neither alan smith or saha were so advanced (internationaly especially) or so good at their trade as campbell was. he's improved since coming to arsenal, almost completely iradicating his clumbsyness. he was also at the end of his contract and came on a bosman. he was also willing "to cross over to the good side". besides he was a grown man at 28 or whatever. smithy and saha are both under 23.
i agree about the wage though. third highest wage earner in europe a couple of years ago...

Well they wanna keep him but he wants more money, heard him being linked Spurs but then I guess it's a usual Spurs storyline where the player will be flattered but it's not the 'righ time' to move to them. Barca's Turkish goalkeeper, Rustu is also on his way out after sitting on the bench most of the season, not a bad keeper.

I don't think that I've ever heard a more true statement.

Erm not quite, does Sol Campbell earn a twopence wage at Arsenal? since he was also desparate for a move to a bigger club at the time.

Also, there shipping off edgar davids, as he has turned down a two year extension, quoting his desire to play in the prem. oh, and van bronckhorst has moved to barcelona on a 3 year contract.
damn big clubs effect. i guess this happens because man u has a track record and goes for known targets, whereas wenger goes for diamonds in the rough.
interesting to hear it confirmed.
Sir Alex Ferguson said: "I have never been more impressed with a young player, his desire to play for Manchester United is fantastic. Certain young people come along with a special determination, and after speaking to him I expect that from Alan Smith. That desire will take him a long way."
"...his desire to play for Manchester United is fantastic." - Im sure that will impress Leeds fans :)
