Thought I'd do one of these instead of everyone posting random topics about teams transfer activities this summer.

----------------

Today's big story is that Roberto Carlos is set to move to Chelsea for £20 Mill at the age of 31 that is an excessive amount of money for someone of that age and what will this mean for Wayne Bridge? and im sure Franky Lampard will not be happy at Carlos' reported 120k a week wages!

In other news, Smith seem's set to have a medical on wednedsday at OT in a deal which will see Danny Pugh go the other way. Birmingham are closing in on Muzzy Izzet and Dickov and Darren Purse is set for a move to Norwich City for 500k a snip seeing as though there were figures of £5 mill flying around a few years ago.

Anymore for anymore?

Isn't Chivu only on loan from Ajax?

And Emerson hasn't quite moved yet, but he's agreed a contract with Juventus. The amount of money that's going to be paid for him is yet to be decided. The clubs are apparently in talks.

And I read that Lima had in fact left on a free transfer... not true?

De Rossi will be able to replace Emerson(who hasnt gone anywhere...yet) If he does go, that should sort them out financially for the time being as he should fetch close to 20m. Progress in the champions league is essential though. Speaking of the champs league, there is definitely gonna some some major groups of death next season with Real Madrid, Deportivo, Juventus, Liverpool, Man Utd and Inter all unseeded (assuming they get through the qualifying round...)

Lima is still at roma although he has said he aint staying. He's 33 anyway.

Roma have quite a few good youngsters although Samuel will leave the biggest hole. Roma are still one of the favourites to sign Mexes though, who could form quite a solid partnership with Chivu.

Fabio Capello is officially a genius. He obviously knew he was going to be the new Juventus coach a few weeks ago, and that's why he's sold 4 players; to prevent Roma from being contenders next season. Walter Samuel to Real Madrid, Lima (dunno who to, just heard he'd been sold), Zebina and Emerson to Juve... so funny that he sold two of them to Juventus as well. Ahaha, quality.

Juve's tactics were pretty quality as well. Build up rumours that you're going to have Deschamps or Prandelli (Parma manager) as your new coach, and then sneak in while all the hype is around other managers and steal one who is much better. Genius.

Noooooooo!!

*Proudly shows off his navy and white Roma shirts, and his old Champions League home top with Totti on the back*

Totti can't leave the Olimpico! He can't...the only club he said he'd ever go to was Real Madrid...I suppose he might end up being their new 'Galactico.' :(

He should become a regular in the argy squad if he can perform to the top of game at utd. Top move though, most of europe have been linked with him this season.

read more about him in a recent interview here

Yeh but Kluivert is hardly a poacher is he?

He normally plays in the supporting striker role and personally I don't think he's as good as he once was and that's down to personal attitude more than anything else.

Next season in Away European fixtures we'll have... Van Persie, Reyes, Henry, Aliadiere cos Dennis can't fly, we might buy him. It's interesting cos we have had no one that brilliant at goal poaching and heading for a few years now and we could do with some experience in Europe perhaps.

Yup, might even see Totti follow him to Juve. Capello is a very shrewd manager and I expect Juve to become the force they once were with him at the helm.

Boro are talking to Pat Kluivert but I some how don't see him going there, his wage demands will be a hell of a lot more than what he's worth.

According to the Beeb, Man Utd have agreed a £6 mill deal for Gabriel Heinze of PSG and are discussing personal terms, he can play left central defence or left back and is apparently a Jaap Stam 'style' defender - that'll do me :)
