Very weird to play this after Resi 4, I don't think you couldn't get two shooting games any more different from each other.
So far:
+ Lots of humour and little touches which made me smile
+ More Captain Ash
+ Looks and sounds alot better with alot more speech
+ The stats & character gallery are back, with some old favourites
+ Intimidatingly huge amount of Challenges etc. to do
+ Doesn't look like EA have messed around with FRD's game.
- Couple of framerate slowdowns
- Pathetically weak and short opening level (the demo level)
- I seem to be crap at Arcade league.
The opening Story Level is a let down, specially since the beginning of TSP2 threw you into the sublime Siberia level. But the next level is far better. And has Captain Ash who is hilarious :)
Oh, and in the extras section you can see the credits, which has Cortez going all Saturday Night Fever on a mirror-balled dance floor. The sign on the wall says "The Big Tipper". :D

The Mars Prison assault is fairly easy, I got a gold on my first attempt.

The hospital was plenty big enough and the mexican mission, it was just the chicago level that was tough.
i've got it on all the Virus levels though.
They were easy, the levels are far too big for virus, unlike in TS2 where they were tiny.

The Mr Socky assault is the easiest platinum ever. Restart until you spawn the furthest forward (the auto-gun shoots you before it starts) and just run. Make sure you get the health pick-up to the right of the gulley, make it to the middle ground, run up towards the fuel barrows, picking up the body armou on the way. Go left, destroying the fuel barrels as you go, into the building and up, destroy the barrel there, drop down the side and get the last barrel, before running inside and nading the place (there are two places to pick up nades, one outside the final area, one bgy the middle ground).
49.7 seconds. :)
Can't..... get....... it....... Noooo!.......

I believe it.
TS3 is a lot easier than I found TS2 thanks to all teh skills I learned from TS2.
11 hours is good, better than me (1 day, 7 hours), but I've played a hell of a lot of multiplayer too, so I can't really say how long it's taken me.
