The bible was written a long time ago and was used as a way of controlling people. Ordinary people were scared of this thing known as God because they did not understand death. We still do not understand death but at least we understand life a little better.
God was used to explain the unexplainable but now we understand some of the unexplainable. We no longer need God like our ancesters. All we need is hope...
Human nature is destruction and the only thing that we should hope for is that we do not destroy the beautiful planet on which we live. We do not deserve the gifts we have but maybe one day we will be truely gateful for them...

Yes, the three different parts of the Godhead take on different roles. God is the father of all things, Jesus is His Son and takes on human form (though still fully God), while the Holy Spirit is God in spirit form.

"We" as in those who believe the Bible as fact, not fiction. "We" who fall under that conviction. It's the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment. He has to convict hardened hearts before they come to a knowledge of the truth.

I thought this thread was meant to be about the bible being a work of fiction created as a means for some clever git, who can read and write and has a lot of spare time on his hands to come up with so much bull$hit that his social life is almost non existant, to become famous and start an entire religion and to create guys like forest fan to annoy the hell out of non believers and persecute them for not joining their cult?
