god himself greeted me at the pearly gates and has returned me to this world with a message:
he says he's had a good long think and he's changed his point of view on a lot of things. basically, being gay is ok, gambling is fun and beer is clever. he'll be sending J to the C (he's been modernised too) down in a couple of weeks to fill us all in.

You're what's stopping me. You make God sound like a Nazi, with Jesus as his stormtrooper in chief. Someone says they love me but they'll torture me if I don't do what they say? That's not love. I used to work a lot with battered women when I was a solicitor, and a lot of them had the same attitude. Tell me, how is this;

Any different from your assertion that God will punish anyone who doesn't do what He says?
Emotionally and mentally, y'know what your devotion has given you? The mindset of a battered wife who doesn't even realise being battered is wrong.
