We really needed a thread for the world's premier type of music, so I created one, and here it is.

Rock on!

kind of, but pre-"Superunknown" Soundgarden were a fair bit heavier..

at the moment my favourite song is probably "Slow me down" by the Devin Townsend Band, it`s kinda upbeat pop-metal, an unlikely combination i know, but it`s cracking stuff...

of course, i`ll have a new favourite by tomorrow :)

Tried... failed.
Try playing the intro to Ace Of Spades, tempo "As fast as you can play it". My hand would fall off after about 10 seconds if I ever got anywhere near the right speed.

Not sure if everyone agrees with these being "heavy metal" ...

Jizzlobber by Faith No More
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by Black Sabbath
No One Knows by Queen Of The Stone Age
I can't remember the name by Machine Head

In future RoJ, if the disc is just a straight copy and not a mix, stick it in and run it through Media Player, which will connect and download the track information.

So what is everybodies favourite metal track?

I'm torn between Paranoid and Run To The Hills.

5. Bring Your Daughter...To the Slaughter
6. Evil That Men Do
7. Aces High
8. Be Quick or Be Dead
9. Two Minutes to Midnight

My friend (yes I have one) gave me a CD with Iron Maiden songs on it the other day - called the Best of the Beast. Unfortunately it was a copy so I don't know the song names, but they are brilliant all the same.
