Suprised no one's made a topic on this already, but tis out today. I haven't got it yet - in the last month I've bought Wario, Resi and Splitters and they've kinda left me low on cash.

Those who got it today/have already imported (Psycho Fox, WS etc.), is it worth my money? I'm an RPG fan as ye may know, but an RPG fan slightly put off by all this card fighting business. So.. verdicts anyone?

I've reached a particulary nasty section of the game that requires me to seriously rethink my entire strategy on fighting bosses, and that I need to actually train up the rest of my characters to the rest of them, and the others even higher. Imagine a boss that starts out being of normal strength and seriously high HP that can at any random point during the fight get 3 times stronger and attack twice in a row (not at same character, unless there is only one left standing) instead of 1, still with incredibly high HP, you need all the luck you can gather just so he doesn't cast his move that changes him on the very first go, then you are dead.

yeah i played FF7 recently too and compared to the modern day RPG's it really doesn't hold up that well.......unlike chrono trigger:P its just compared to ffX, FF7 just seems so dated. but enough FF talk. im really into baten kaitos now. just did the libary dungeon and that was wicked. thats another part of ToS that could have been better i thought. the earlier dungeons were pretty mediocre. the fire and water ones only had 1 puzzle in each. the later dungeons got far better though, i love how u have to put the boss together in the dark dungeon and the ice dungeon i remember had some nice puzzles too. SoA on the other hand had some great dungeons!! anyone remember the one were ur party gets separated into 2 groups of 2? and u have to do 1 part at a time to open up the next section for the other group!! that was an ****ing amazing dungeon, one of the many in the game, its right up there with the OoT dungeons i think.
I don't know how u could play baten kaitos through the second disc and just give up!! it just seems crazy because as someone else pointed out a lot of RPG's pick up around half-way through. i remember i got stuck on the last boss of FF8 and spent ages leveling up to about level 90 something for everyone(couldnt just level my best 3 because the final boss randomly selected ur party) but it was sooooo worth it cause the end FMV was amazing, it lasted like 20 mins.

Well maybe you just hit a particulary difficult and annoying boss and got fed up because you kept getting creamed every time you battled against him, say... Fadroh?

I recently played Final Fantasy 7 and I didn't think it was as good as they said it was to be perfectly honest, it wasn't the gaphics that put me off coz I don't care about that, it was just other things that I didn't particulary care fo.

Well, I did import Baten Kaitos, and I found it highly disappointing. I got bored about 2 hours into the second disc and have not played it since. I just found the voice acting to dull and didn't have any kind of emotions. They where supposed to be angry and they sounded like they where sitting down at a civilised table having tea! Also the story was so predicable, I could basically rewrite the script before i even played the area!

To me FF7 is the best, then Skies, then Tales. Then many levels below them, in the bowels of hell is Baten Kaitos. I don't think I will ever pick this game up again.

Argh, I hated that bit.
It took me ages to find him (I didn't know what to do), in fact, I may have looked up Gamefaqs for the answer.

I wrote the first reveiw for Amazon, so I may get another £50 gift voucher for my persuasive article, my last one was for "Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy" earlier last year (blooming heck, doesn't time fly!) and I got the voucher then. When i really like a game and know it down to a "T" I can really persuade people to buy it.
