Suprised no one's made a topic on this already, but tis out today. I haven't got it yet - in the last month I've bought Wario, Resi and Splitters and they've kinda left me low on cash.

Those who got it today/have already imported (Psycho Fox, WS etc.), is it worth my money? I'm an RPG fan as ye may know, but an RPG fan slightly put off by all this card fighting business. So.. verdicts anyone?

it depends entirely on the areas your in i find. Kalas seems to always be rather good and xelha too, but i havent got to mizuti yet. i alternate gibari (has some good water spells) and lyude (dark spells and light combos) depends on the enemies im fighting. did i mention that i wrote a review for Baten Kaitos? =D well here it is. I don't particulary like Lyude as he isn't too strong, neither is Mizuti. But I use Xhela for healing when the need arises, but Gibari is strong and srings up a lot of strong attacks that end on a great special attack.

It's the only one so far as I remember.

BTW if you don't use Lyude you're a stupidhead.

So easy to chain together massive combos cause all his moves are light or dark, plus his special moves are the coolest.

I never really used Gibari or Xehla, Gibari seemed rubbish at the start and I never went back to him, and Great Mizuti is more awesome then Xehla.

Heh I've never played Resi, but I think TS3 is just as good as TS2 not that much better (only the graphics and characters are).

Well there were a few FMV cutscenes in Tales but I so far seen any high res cutscene in Baten Kaitos, but when the characters are close to the screen they are still quite detailed, as these in game graphics are amazing.

yes this is another very cunning opening (too frequent these days for my liking) that make u think there are loads of hi-res cutscene where there aren't. i've already surpassed several incidents that are seen in the beginning FMV but they r viewed with the games actual graphics (boo) and the beginning seems to have been compiled to show what each characters reason for joining the group is. apparently there are some FMV's but to be honest it doesn't matter how many there could have been cause we would have always wanted more.

I was going to ask:

What are the cutscene like in Baten Kaitos?
How many uber-amazing FMV thingies are there? And what are the in-game-graphics ones like? Just people standing around talking, or does interesting stuff happen?

?

yeah that was awesome!! it was great how u could build your crew!! how jokes was it when u find that trampy kid hidden in the hatch of the ship!! and the specials were awesome all of them!! until u get to ramirez and he has a special that lasts like 2 minutes or something stupid. and im not sure about only a few RPG's having slow starts to the story. A lot of FF's really suck u in from the start and i guess thats why they are so popular.
