Suprised no one's made a topic on this already, but tis out today. I haven't got it yet - in the last month I've bought Wario, Resi and Splitters and they've kinda left me low on cash.

Those who got it today/have already imported (Psycho Fox, WS etc.), is it worth my money? I'm an RPG fan as ye may know, but an RPG fan slightly put off by all this card fighting business. So.. verdicts anyone?

*ToS Spoilers*

Indeed, I found that too. And then Palmacosta gets randomly destroyed when the great Tree grows. When you go up to the city I'd have a liked a cutscene with some reaction from Lloyd but nothing :S

Indeed, now that you mention it I always joined in with the speciall attack too, however not the Blue Rogues one but the golden moon that comes crashing down, definetly breath taking, especially with the sound effects too.

Heh, me too.
It did rock.

But the best one was the special secret team-attack thing when you've got all the crew members or something, and send the moon crashing down on to your enemies. Everyone says a little line, and the join all their weapons up.

It's so beautiful.

That's the general trend with RPG's.
You don't usually get to the main story until about half-way through teh game.

Skies was an exception, because practically from teh very beginning you were on your quest that lasts the entire game, almost.

There may be spoilers below for those who haven't payed Skies or ToS.

I prefered ToS as you didn't really know what was going to happen, whereas, although Skies had a few twists (like finding out that the Silver Civilisation caused everything, basically), ToS had hundreds, which made it excellent.

I knew that Lloyd was going to become an Angel from near the beginning, which sucked - they made it a bit too obvious, but all the Cruxis stuff and Mithos is Yggdrasil, Kratos is your dad malarky made it much better.

It's good playing ToS through after you know everything, because you understand the skits more, and you can see why Kratos acts the way he does.

Oh yeah, I've got one thing to ask about ToS, does anyone remember teh "Mystery Seller Person" in Palmacosta? he always told me to "Come back tommorrow" but I never managed to find it open.

Coz when my cookies were automatically removed I forgot which email address I had registered with (it has been quite a few years since then :> ) and so i accidentally created his new one, but for some reason I was looged on to this one instead of the normal one.

Also I remember I always shouted the "Moonstone Cannon... FIRE!!" whenever it came up in the battle :D

heh yeah those quotes r brilliant. makes u realise how good this game was for its time, that time being before RPG's had loads of voice acting. i personally love "cutlass fury" and "behold....pirates wrath". and who could forget gilder's "dance for me" =D moments like that is what i think SoA has over ToS. As for BK, i wrote a review!! here it is:

Ship battles were great, ok they were a bit long but I dunno, hearing Vyse shout he's going to use his Moon Stone Cannon.. *Wipes tear from eye* gaming brilliance.

Edit: And how come you're a newbie now, Psycho?

Well wait until you get to see the massive amounts of damage he can with 4 of his strongest paddles and a special attack, then you'll want his butt kicking moves in every boss fight.

the ToS battle system is one of the best i've ever played.i feel the storyline doesnt really pick up till about half way through though. as games overall i like ToS and SoA the same, they just have different positives its just i remember SoA being more enjoyable. i just met gibari in BK but i dont know if hes quite in the same league as Drachma, guess ill have to wait and see.
