Those who got it today/have already imported (Psycho Fox, WS etc.), is it worth my money? I'm an RPG fan as ye may know, but an RPG fan slightly put off by all this card fighting business. So.. verdicts anyone?
Also Deathbeard in Golden Sun although he was one of the most challenging bosses in the first game i mst admit, in all 8 of the times I have played through the game I never died on the first try against Deathbeard, even on my very first game. Wheras Duhallan in GS2 was like Deathbeard in oh so many ways, but he was almost invincible and had the most really really annoying tactic that could only be done in a game where bosses were solely beaten by Djinn monsters in ready mode, he made all the Djinn for 3 out of 4 characters turn to charging mode (the one straight after use where they cannot be used again for 1 turn each) even if you had all 9 ready for summoning. This also really affect my healers that need 4 standby Djinn (ones in normal mode) so that they could cast their entire party healing spell Wish, without that spell it all goes downhill from there.
Anyway back to BK, just got to another difficult boss fight (they become quite frequent in their difficulty once you get to the 40th hour or so), but this one has a fire type creature and a water type creature against 3 of you, the odds may still be in your favour but not when they can either Freeze you or set you on fire (costing you extra health each turn without curing). Still quite difficult even with their average health meters compared to the last 2 fights I had.
as for the battle system well i thought golden sun's one was very well put together its just it wasn't the most daring. it was a tried and tested system that the designers knew would work. thats why im glad to see monolith created a brand new system from scratch. at the end of the day its probably not as good as the FF/Golden sun system's (iron already picked up on some flaws) but i think they deserve to be credited for sheer orginality and trying to give an old genre a breath of fresh air.
phew Tami's tired after all that typing >.<
Other than that it's been good but average so far storywise and I'm already on disc 2 whereas in ToS near the end of disc 1 something major actually happens.
Update: I've come up to another retarded part of the game I can't beat this boss I can't level up because I need a stupid blue flower which isn't on this level and one of the bosses has 2 turns. I'll work it out though but this is silly.
