This has been my first console that I have imported and to be honest its great. PSP cost me about £180-190 including Del, or £250 for it with 2 extra games. Games over here are going to be £30-35 off the internet and the about £180 for the console if not more. Normally we see a direct US to UK conversion, ie PS2 was $299 and it was £299 when it came out. PSP is $249 so no reason for Sony to not sell it at £249.
Anyway I am not really paying any more in having a US console now than waiting a few months for the UK release. VGP are good for games as there about £24-28 and with about £3 for del its pretty cheap. The thing to watch out for is that they use Canadian so the UK price is a rough price at that time, when my money was taking from my account it was £5 more than I thought and I had a service charge of £1.50.

Dont know about any stats, maybe I havent checked. Gretzky has stats but more at your end than a global stat table as you dont need a login as you do with Twisted Metal, it takes your profile name, so I dont know what happens if 2 people share a name.
US PSPs can play Jap games a vice versa. Region coding is only effecting the UMD movies now, but to be honest no bad thing. US UMD movies can be had for about £10 and of course will come out before the UK/Jap region 2 movies. Plus people are going down the route of having a 1GB memory card and converting DVDs as you can get 2 full length movies on a 1GB card at very good quality.
I dont know about the wireless play between the regions. I have heard that if you want to do Ad-Hoc ie. PSPs in the same room then you need the same region so to speak, so even if you had a Jap and US PSP as long as you both had the same game and from say the US you would be fine. None of my friends have a PSP so can try with any one with a Jap console.

Yep that easy. Twisted Metal is organised into Lobbys with games. When I have been on only about 100 people have been on at the same time.
When you first sign on you have to just enter a name and pass and thats it, nothing to fill in apart from those 2 fields. You then save it as the default login so its always filled in when you turn it on.

So I go withing range of my wireless modem/router, select Infrastructure and it'll find games for me?
It's that easy??
So does Twisted Metal require a username/pass then? If so, how do I get one?

Indeed they are - or were anyway.
There was a big issue when the DS was launched in USA/CA as Fedex were seizing parcels to UK as they knew they weren't 'books' or $20 toys.
After that, ImportMadness stopped using Fedex and went with OCS, who are great.

You dont need it :D That what I was shocked at. You basically set up the PSP to connect to a wireless connection and thats it. Go to Multiplayer and Infrastructure and choose the connection, create a user name and password and thats it. Same with Gretzky Hockey, apart from you dont need an username and password.

I had emailed them about stock as on the site the bundle wasnt there. Very helpful over email as they emailed me once they were in stock. The new bundles VGP are getting state they do not come with Spider-Man 2 UMD as it was the 1st 1 Million consoles to be shipped which have all gone to different stores etc. I asked about marking it down and they said they do that. I ordered and that was that, next day I had my tracking number and could see it moving across Canada and the US and then into England. I was at work when it arrived, but could see my mum had signed for it :D
It is also worth it because its such an amazing device, its so small and light. When it came I was shocked as I had 2 games and the PSP and the delivery box was small. I opened it and the PSP box was tiny.
Looks like Importmadness are cheaper, but when I ordered they werent available. Read on another place that Importmadness are being investigated for tax dodgy or something.
