Tell me why the Gamecube is crap.
How much more powerful IS the X-box than the GC? I've heard Grix say (well...seen him post actually, to be more accurate. I wonder what his voice does sound like? Or even what he looks like? I imagine him to look like the guy from Road Trip that puts the mouse in his mouth. Anyway, I appear to have divegred a little...) that the specs were somewhat more similar than microsoft would have us believe? Is it or isn't it about 300mhz more powerful, amongst other things?
It's always a good idea to have a clear throat when writing.
First problem, that sodding graphics card. It's going to knock the price of the X-Box up by at least £100, and it really isn't worth it. Either the consumer is going to have to pay, or Microsoft are going to lose a mint or two. And not the ones with the holes, either.
Either that, or the developers are going to pay higher dev costs... which I now remember, they are anyway.
Next problem, most developers don't even have the proper dev kits yet! How on earth are they going to be making decent games, when they can't even convert them!
And do you know WHY the dev kits aren't ready yet?
That sodding graphics chip again. They still haven't got it finished.
Next, first party support.
Yes, it's all well and good listing the wonderful third parties that no-one has ever heard of, but what about the games that will be ultimately exclusive to it?
Oh yeah. Microsoft can't make games. I forgot.
Unless Train Simulator gets your skin tightening, I suggest you look elsewhere for decent exclusives.
And don't give me this Oddworld crap either. They can make games as well as Sniper makes new friends.
"But what about Sega?" I here you ask?
Nothing, really.
They are releasing some games that will appear on all consoles. I don't know what the hype is about. Sega making games is good. But the exclusives won't be on the X-Box.
Why?
Because Sega have already said so.
And where are they going?
The Gamecube. Read interviews so at least you have a slight clue of what you are talking about.
Internet access? Whoops, they messed that up as well.
Next problem, it plays CD's. What the hell is the point of that?
It's like telling consumers that the X-Box isn't a real games machine, just some sort of genre splicing s***e machine.
What else?
Oh yeah, the Japs hate it. That's half the market gone.
Microsoft lie. Constantly.
If they had the guts to admit that half their stats are made up, and their games aren't real, then perhaps I would have the slightest bit of respect for them.
The only reason I would buy a X-Box is for the reason that when I buy one, Microsoft loses money.

> the graphics?
Well lets see, would like Conker so much if it had crap grpahics??
I made a topic about this a while ago, I'll POP it back to the TOP.

He's a Ninty, what do you expect?
I've now given up trying to convince Sniper that we are having a laugh in messenger... :)
Anyway, it's on the N64, not the Gamecube.
Now, your turn Grix, you tell me why the X-Box is crap, and I'll convert you.
:-)
