Well microsoft are doing well making the hardware but who is to say what will happen? Time will tell what Microsoft can do up against Sony and Nintendo now Sega has joined with Nintendo now we've got 3 big companies but 1 company able to count the profits.

Alex Kidd, Microsoft have shown their commitment to the XBox for a number of years by including an ethernet adapter in the console.

It shows that Microsoft are going to support their console for a long while. Unlike Sony, who announce the PS3 about 3 months afteer the PS2 is launched.

I am still undecided about the 'Cube and the XBox, I think the best bet will be to wait and see. When both of them have been out for a few months, when the price has dropped and the games start coming thick and fast, then will be the tim e to make your decision.

Imagine the price of it......Microsoft are only in it because the PC market is bad.

So you ARE getting an X-Box then?

Of course, since when was I a trained reporter? To get that particular story I had to dress up as a Saudi oil tycoon, sit in the lobby of the Grosvenor Hotel in London for 3 days waiting for Sophie to show up, and then I had to interview her and get her to blab. It wasn't easy.

The BETA dev

BETA is good enough, they can still program in the parameters for the graphics card even though the card is not there. The only drawback here is that when the card is actually available they'll be spending a lot of time debugging.

"one occaision"

"The X-Box is more

Of COURSE it is!! A nuclear reactor can't even play a Megadrive game, whereas we've already seen streaming demos of what the X-Box can do. It's just that the PR department, with their usual flair for definition of words, were 'stretching' the word "powerful" to fit their own context. It's the same with Nintendo and their use of the words "gameplay" and the phrase "value for money".

There was a point? And I missed it?

And I still can't find it?

If a serious tone was implied in any of my posts in this thread then my sincere apologies. Go back and read them again, but have one of those little laughing bags going next to your keyboard whilst you read what I wrote, and you'll get a fair impression of what I sounded like when I was typing them. :-D
