So any help is much appreciated.
When i get downtown on Tuesday it will probably come down to which is in stock and which is cheapest
It's not as easy to just drag files on to and carr ythem around, as you need software installed on the pc to be able to read them, but for what you get for the money, it's great.

That's just tosh. My iPod lives hidden in a dock under a shelf on my desk, or in my pocket - the simple reason for iPods supreme brilliance is the interface; from iTunes being just about the best thing ever to zipping around through menus when on the go. While I’ve no doubt a number of people choose it over other MP3 players because of the style factor, it has numerous other benefits, which is why I bought my first three years ago where 3rd party software was needed for PC support and everyone thought it was a cassette player.

They have an educational store which offers around 10% discount on the normal prices. You just need to enter the name of the Uni you attend (not sure if schools are included)
Sometimes they ask you to scan your student card and send them it.
If you phone them up though sometimes they take more money off. :-)
Oh well, i'll see what I can do.
Cheers :)

Fine by me.
Like I said, it's when it's featured in a style guide I get annoyed. Ipods are excellent, if a little overpriced, pieces of equipment. So is my Zen.
I have just purchased an ipod which i would like to use as an external hard drive between my mac and my pc. I have formatted it as a mac ipod, and it wouldn't transfer to my pc, so i reformated it to my pc and now it won't register on my mac, i was told it should come up as just a hard drive icon (which is all i want!) and it doesn't.
Would it matter that i'm only running 10.1?
any ideas?
As far as I know, anyway ...
