Had a hearing test done today as part of my hospital regime, and all is not well. My one hearing ear is deteriorating quite rapidly. The norm in a good ear is a hearing range of about 20-20,000Hz, six weeks ago it was about 250-20,000Hz in my ear with background noise, today it was about 450-20,000Hz. I've lost a range of 200Hz in just 6 weeks! You can do the maths.

For anyone who wants a sort of off-set, a middle C on a piano is about 260Hz.

Hmmm, I'll respond with a computery one then:

do {

go to club;
find attractive lass;
chat her up;
fail;

}

while (single);

I'll leave now

The physicist coming out in me:

A neutron walks into a bar and asks how much a pint is and the barman says, for you, no charge!

A skeleton walks into a bar. "A pint of beer and a mop, please."

I do try my best, but it's tough making up ear jokes.
