The Revolution will also be a wireless router for the home, connect broadband to it and it will allow nearby consoles to link and go online. Such as a DS for example.
Rumours:
Revolution will be VERY cheap, will be only a little more powerful than a Gamecube and vastly inferior to X-box 360 and PS3. There will be multiple controllers, touch screen, gyro and camera are all being touted.
If the latter is true then I told you Nintendo are gunning for a different market.

Oh right well I'll listen to you when you've used it.

AhahAHha.
No, wait.
AHAhHAHAhHAhAhHAhha
What a load of tosh.
I'm so immersed! The crippling cramp in my arms from holding the controller in one place, and my entire body from sitting perfectly still - its all faded away now I'm so 'in the game'!
bwaahaha
Please, stop

What on earth are you talking about? When did I mention sales at any point?
I'm not saying that the analog stick isn't better than a D-Pad. Did you even understand what I was talking about? My point is that it didn't change gaming, as you suggested. The reason I said this was to point out that controllers don't change games, and that power is more than about pretty graphics, a mistake you have made over and over again in this thread.
My point is that a Revolution as you have described above would be poor and unsuccessful on every account, and I have explained why. I'm not asking you to tell me what Nintendo are doing, I'm not professing to know myself, but what I am saying is that if it is as you have described above, then it will be rubbish.
And don't confuse yourself again, I didn't say the analog stick did "nothing". It is far superior to the old way of controlling games, and your point that it comes as standard with every 3D gaming device should prove that it is the perfect game controller, and that we don't need an alternative.
A gyro controller and touch screen controller would be crap.
That's that.
"Ooh ... but Ninty have more experience!"
Wow, I better buy it then!

It gives far closer immersion into video games.
A load of crap, assuming that once again a silly little fan boy has far more talent and knowledge than Nintendo.
As NGC put it "The idiots on the internet message boards".

Still any better than pushing a stick in the right direction?
Er ... no.
Thinking about it ... I think a one-handed controller would work really well. Dunno about anyone else, but with the N64, being able to play Goldeneye practically one-handed was pretty cool.
Imagine the hand hold from a traditional joystick, but with all the buttons on the hand grip. Could be pretty cool.
The gyro would work a bit better like that if they wanted to stick with it - holding a clenched fist level is much easier.
Sounds awful.

Urgh. Move the controller?
That's just stupid - how the hell would you have a central position?
You'd look like a moron too. Not good for image.
And touch screen? Yeah right. I'm not paying £50 for a gimmick controller. No-one would want to play multiplayer.
gyro and touchscreen and all this crap is far MORE complicated than what already exists.

I find that a lot of 3D games work a lot better with a mouse. Go figure.

plug your PS2 or Xbox into a wireless router and O.M.F.G they have wireless online. It's no big deal.
