The Revolution will also be a wireless router for the home, connect broadband to it and it will allow nearby consoles to link and go online. Such as a DS for example.
Rumours:
Revolution will be VERY cheap, will be only a little more powerful than a Gamecube and vastly inferior to X-box 360 and PS3. There will be multiple controllers, touch screen, gyro and camera are all being touted.
If the latter is true then I told you Nintendo are gunning for a different market.

So that'll be with a really familiar device since before gaming for the first time on a home computer I'd already used them at school, as well as a type-writer at home with a similar layout so I already was familiar with the device I was now using for gaming and already comfortable with it?

I dunno if they are or are not. The DS appeals to me and that is also supposed to appeal to new gamers.
Nintendo games appeal to me.
We do not know what the Revolution will be. How much of a departure from traditional games it will be. So we'll have to see.
But yes I am fine with that.

Oh yeah I forgot, the Gamecube is a terrible console, damn I wish I didn't have it.
They weren't stupid with the Gamecube, it was a basic form of their rivals at a cheap price. Sounds like it'd work but of course Nintendo's marketing let them down again.
Nintendo are not bussiness men, at least not very good ones, they are game designers, talented game designers. Microsoft and Sony are not. If Microsoft said "we're gonna revolutionise the industry" I'd expect to see windows on an X-box, all Sony do is throw on CD and DVD capabilities. Nintendo make games, they are the best in the industry. A little faith wouldn't got amiss.

Gameboy was aiming for a different market.
Virtual Boy was a side console, not a main console as well.
Assuming this is gimmicky of course.
And of course you're forgetting Nintendo are a little different than the bussiness bullies of the toy industry in 1992.
muh

Like they wearn't stupid with the GC?

Ergo, they are not appealing to you.
And you're fine with that?
