The Revolution will also be a wireless router for the home, connect broadband to it and it will allow nearby consoles to link and go online. Such as a DS for example.
Rumours:
Revolution will be VERY cheap, will be only a little more powerful than a Gamecube and vastly inferior to X-box 360 and PS3. There will be multiple controllers, touch screen, gyro and camera are all being touted.
If the latter is true then I told you Nintendo are gunning for a different market.

Hmmm.

Like I said, 90% of gamers don't want something stuck on their heads, and they don't want to move about at all. They want to sit in a chair and play a good game.
I'd say that doing more stuff outside of the game would remove that immersion you keep going on about. As it is now, everything's so easy to control, you can forget the controller is even there and be focussed entirely on the game.

Indeed

No, because you'd have to keep looking between the screens all the time, and miss whatever's happening on the other one. It works on the DS because the screens are directly under eachother, so you never miss anything.
Still, I'm sure they'll carve their unique part of a niche. Shame it'll be smaller than before.
We don't need anything too different but something to make it stand out other than it's technical capabilities.
Gyro controller is a controller that works when moved.
It can be linked to your head for all I know, your feet, your arms, your hands? In fact it could be all of them depending if you're walking, fighting, shooting errr... headbutting... and that movement is picked up in the game, throw in a basic controller and you have a far more immersive game. Imagine that, a device which can be used as a gun, a tool to detect speed of walking, a fishing rod, a steering wheel etc... That's an immersive game and a gyro controller COULD be that.
But then it might not.
Then maybe it is a touch screen. Bad Idea you say, you say you couldn't become accustom to the controls.
Well then what if this "touch screen" was also a game screen? A.K.A the DS? Is the idea better now? Maybe. Maybe not.
We have to wait and see. The ideas can be more complex than you are all making out.

Pedants, you are all pedants.
> Erm... better graphics change nothing.
You are unbelievably stupid sometimes. Just read my dammed posts. How many times have I said that graphics aren't the issue? How many times? About 5 I'll wager. I'm not going to make my point again. If you haven't got it by now then there's no hope.
