Pretty much confirmed news:

The Revolution will also be a wireless router for the home, connect broadband to it and it will allow nearby consoles to link and go online. Such as a DS for example.

Rumours:

Revolution will be VERY cheap, will be only a little more powerful than a Gamecube and vastly inferior to X-box 360 and PS3. There will be multiple controllers, touch screen, gyro and camera are all being touted.

If the latter is true then I told you Nintendo are gunning for a different market.

I disliked having the timed bits. I'd prefer it if you had infinite time to finish a level.

I dislike replaying things simply because the time ran out - not my idea of fun to be always watching the clock.

Yes. I'm borrowing the collector's disk off a friend of mine, and I've been playing Majora's Mask, cause I missed it out on the N64. Very good, but the time is too much of a pressure.

I don't see why not.
I would think Ninty could make a game set it one sprawling location quite well.

Other than that we can hope for some unlisienced underground game.
Otherwise, I guess we'll have to wait for Sony's copycat for that one.

The fact that most people would choose a PS2 over an XBox shows that console power has become almost irrelevant.
GTA 3 won the console war by being a game that so many people found appealing (while hardcore gamers complained about amature clumsy controls, and how shallow it gets...).

They'll perhaps stil support the Gamecube for more traditional style games. Or maybe they have got a touch/shape screen controller which has an analogue stick rise out whenever you need one! :-D
More realistically, a "donut shaped" controller, where half a donut sticks out of the screen, like a mountain with a crater, that you put your thumb on and pressure sensitive controls work out how hard you're pressing where.

Some game could let you design your own controller to account for thumbsize, etc...

Yea 3 similar consoles with slightly different games would that really sell much or be much of a advance for gaming?
If so then console are turning into PC's.

If Nintendo did the Norm then they would have to develop some new games, get Squaresoft to make a Final Fantasy game for it and get Konami to make N64 style ISS game rather than the current ISS crap. Other than that as I said consoles are advancing technologically than being innovative nowadays like PC's.
