Is it:

A). The perfect time of year to show your love to someone, wether you're in a relationship or not.

B). A complete marketing rip-off designed to make you spend lots of money.

C). Something that only people in relationships need to worry about.

Discuss.

A trip to .... anywhere but Paris would be a surprise, a bunch of anything but roses, a meal cooked by you rather than going out, a CD that doesnt have mushy love songs, a card that says Happy Mothers Day.

Well, maybe not the last one just yet eh. :P

I sent her a card the other day and then relised I put 'Drive' instead of 'Grove'

So it got delivered up the road somewhere to a big perv probably.

My Valentines Day was successful but she at work now, I cry. Not really I'm going to play games and pick my nose.

So not worth posting the card then?

OK so it is all commercialised. But how often do most people make the effort to be romantic anymore apart from Valentine's Day? Rarely.

Romance = wonderful, hence Valentines day = good.

Valentines seems to be a day where men are forced to buy presents for their girlfriends/wife/both to make up for how crappy they treat them the rest of the year.

Also, why is it usually the guy that has to spend loads of money taking the girl out on valentines? I want to be spoiled dag-nabbit!

I know. It's happened in the past - the "don't buy me anything" and then "YOU DIDN'T BUY ME ANYTHING?!?" series of events - but things have gone too far this time. This time I don't care.

I have my dog, and that's all I need right now.

Good for you. You know it's gonna turn out that she secretly still wants you to buy her something, but you heard the girl: "don't buy me anything". Can't argue with that.
