Finally got my copy delivered on Saturday - Brand new and still in cellophane!

I remember this as being one of the greatest games of all time, but I don't remember it being THIS great! I truly am blown away by, yes, a PSOne game. It is now my favourite game of the moment and I'll definately not be getting rid of this baby again!

If you no longer own this, or have never played it, I strongly suggest you get hold of a copy - you won't be disappointed (unless last-gen graphics are a problem to you).

I'm only up to the bit where Shinra are trying to bring the plate down over Sector 7, but I can safely say I won't be on Live or PS2 Online for a while yet!

By the time I've finished this, I'll have Crystal Chronicles to get through too...

Anyhoo, please post your views/memories etc. of this game on here so I can see how many of you feel the same as me about this gem of a game.

I hope it is remade like the rumours say...

Was that by just hanging around all the random battles for ages?

I don't know if I'd have the patience, but it'd certainly help me a lot!

If you bring back Aeris you totally kill Sephiroth's character and the whole of FF7 almost. Sephiroth is evil because he killed Aeris, that's the main reason you're meant to hate and want to defeat him, apart from the small matter of saving the world. It also gave the remaining characters the strength and determination to want to defeat Sephiroth. Bringing back Aeris would just ruin FF7, for me anyway.

You know it's been a couple of years since I have played ff7, but i gotta agree that it was one of my favorites, it truly was the only game that almost made me me cry when Aeries (i think that's right, again it's been awhile) was killed by Sepheroth (?) I still have it made up in my mind that there is some secret way to bringing her back, it's just not right, there has to be some way to bring her back, unless it's already been done and no body has told me. Bring back Aeries!!!!!!!!!!!!

playing through this again right now. infact, i just went and bought a new memory card so i can fill it up with JUST FF7 :)

i'm at the bit just before Gold Saucer and i've wandered out of Corel onto the world map so i can level up loads and get a stack of money. i've already got enough to buy the lifetime pass to Gold Saucer and everyone has materia double growth armour and weapons so i'm not far from a Master ALL that i can sell either... life is indeed, good :)

You don't have FF7 and you don't plan to?? You know, there are places for people who think that. You have straight jackets there!!!! I reckon FF8 is slightly better. And although FF10 is amazing it cannot even COMPARE to Final fantasy 7.
