The report tells me that I probably won't see an increase in speed (from 1.5 to 1.5!) but I wondered if there are any other benefits/cons to upgrading?
My Router supports ADSL2+ as well, so that won't be a problem, but I know from earlier tests (thanks to Hmmm...) that my line isn't always the most stable, being far from the exchange and having quite a bad noise issue in the past.
I'll consider it.
It still gets me that BT can't seem to find a way to improve the lot of those living further from the exchange. Surely they could do something like fitting relay stations to boost the signal in these places? Or am I missing something?
Obviously FO is the way to go, but at BTs rate I think we'll be past the Olympics before I see those cables coming to my house!
That being said, there is little to lose (aside from a couple of days of potentially unstable connection) as we are also able to change you back without too much fuss.
However, as with all of our ADSL customers, unless you feel that the (potentially slight) speed increase is absolutely necessary for you then I personally wouldn't bother.
Your choice though pb :)
