The report tells me that I probably won't see an increase in speed (from 1.5 to 1.5!) but I wondered if there are any other benefits/cons to upgrading?
My Router supports ADSL2+ as well, so that won't be a problem, but I know from earlier tests (thanks to Hmmm...) that my line isn't always the most stable, being far from the exchange and having quite a bad noise issue in the past.

I rebooted the router last night, as far as I'm aware the changeover would have been sometime yesterday afternoon.
Interestingly your attenuation has come down to 60db.
I had read that the higher frequencies with ADSL2+ increased attenuation on long lines - so that's good news.
That sync will give you a 2000kbps IP Profile - do you know what you used to sync at before the move?
Unfortunately you need to sync at 2848 to get a 2500 IP Profile - see my IP Profile Table at the bottom of the page.
On the bright side it looks like you currently have a Target SNR of 12db. If your line is more stable on WBC then this could automatically reduce over the coming weeks. It drops in 3db steps (down to the default 6db). Each step can give you up to 750kbps increase in speed!
So if your line 'behaves' things could still get better! :¬)
I remember reading a while back that ISPs have more control over 'stability options' (Target SNR) on WBC connections - so Freeola may be able to manually reduce your Target SNR to speed things up?
Hope this helps...

Pretty good conn's. I assume the dropout was the change to ADSL2+ so all is looking good so far.
And @Hmmm....
True that. If only it worked that wasy for forcing the profile down. On some cases I swear BT just look at the line and go "Ohh he has disconnected twice within 4 minutes. Put him on 135!"

Working from home needs a stable connection and already it seems better than the start of the week, though whether that's just a co-incidence or not is another matter.
Arh, I'm with you now :¬)
Don't forget that 'most' IP Profile changes will take around 3 days and not 24 hours unless the change in sync is large.
It will be interesting to see how pb's line works out with his attenuation. I'm hoping the news will be good to give all of us on longer lines some hope!

[s]Hmmm...[/s]The phrase I used was visible effects. I've had customers phone up seconds after changing and asking why their download speeds are still the same. >_<
And with ADSL2+ I specifically mean if it's going to "break" its generally only visible after 24 hours. Mainly so we have some data to go on with re-connects etc.
and thanks Warhunt for confirming that it's changed!

Hi Warhunt - why's that? Line attenuation and any change in sync(connection) speed will happen immediately.
