The report tells me that I probably won't see an increase in speed (from 1.5 to 1.5!) but I wondered if there are any other benefits/cons to upgrading?
My Router supports ADSL2+ as well, so that won't be a problem, but I know from earlier tests (thanks to Hmmm...) that my line isn't always the most stable, being far from the exchange and having quite a bad noise issue in the past.
Anyway, yes you are. Not sure of the exact time you transferred across but it is now ADSL2+
We generally advise customers that it may take up to 24 hours for any line changes to show visible effects.

Hi pb,
I'm not sure if this type of change only happens with a new billing period or not? Warhunt will be able to advise on that.
A certain way to check is to use the instructions I've put here - Freeola IPSC/WBC. Cut and past the link (which IPSC/WBC node) changing the account details to your own.
Mine shows:
Interconnect type
IP Stream Connect (IPSC)
The second link which gives more info on your line is currently not working - see other related post for info.
In theory your router 'modulation' should also change - but the above is a simple and reliable way to check.
Can you post you line stats again?
Has your 62db attenuation changed and sync speed changed?
I've got my fingers crossed for you!
[s]Hmmm...[/s] Just wasn't sure if the router automatically switches as well.
Not really sure how to check that the line is now ADSL2+ or not though? Guessing it'll be something in the router menu which would possibly tell me?
One thing I did want to say was that I'm impressed with the speed I've got from Freeola since signing up. I never got speeds above 1.8 before and the past few days have been constantly at 1.9+
No I wasn't being serious.

It's worth a look. An iPlate only improves the problems introduced if you still have a bell wire connected (terminal 3).
When you remove the NTE5 faceplate - if things are wired correctly, then ALL your phone extensions should stop working.
Worth testing just in case something is dragging things down!

....... I was hoping it was a BT one in Arabic........ :D
It's already got an iPlate on as well though.
