This is mine...
After assuming control of Snake, I made my way up to the top deck of the ship, outside. I was practicing the 'hold up' tecnique, and caught one of the guards at the corner of the gangway; he was facing outwards.
Then I made the mistake of putting my gun away, at which point the guy turned, punched me (well, punched Snake), and went for his gun. As Snake got back to his feet, I started hitting the punch button (circle) almost in a fit of panic. Three presses... punch, punch, roundhouse...
The roundhouse kick connected with the guard's chin, and sent him flying backwards, over the guard rail, to the deck below, screaming as he fell!
It was totally unexpected, and I sat there in amazement at what had just happened, with my jaw on the floor. I know it only sounds like a 'litte thing', but I was completely shocked;I did not expect to be able to get the guard off of the walkway in that fashion.
Any other 'novel' methods?
I think there's a lot of stuff in this demo - and the full game, when we eventually get it - that isn't going to be 'documented' and that we have to discover for ourselves.
I've also noticed that on the comms screen, you can change the view of the characters with the left and right sticks.
> But I've got to try making one guard fall on another!!
Has anyone actually vaulted the barrier and hung from an upper deck yet, and deliberately dropped onto a guard? That's very cool too!
As with putting guards in lockers, once you get in the right position, they are automatically thrown over.

This game definitely makes the best use so far of the analogue buttons on the DualShock 2.

That's cos they can't see where you're aiming! After you've held them up, you need to get round in front of them and use first-person view to point the gun at their head or groin.
Don't make the mistake I made and put your gun away, even if you're behind them... they 'hear it go back in the holster' (or so it seems) and will knock you down before going for their gun and shooting you.
