See Neil Hodgson has announced his immediate retirement from competitive racing today due to his injured shoulder. Not entirely unexpected but sad to see him end his career in this way.

Hadn't heard about Tommy Bridewell. That doesn't sound nice at all.

Yeah, bummer about Motegi, was really looking forward to that.Oh well,Assen WSBK is still on so that will just have to do.

Yeah, bad news about Motegi, though better they cancel it than us just watch an empty track!

BSB was good, I see PeteGP is now number 2 in the 'championship' - I knew I should have gone for Tommy Hill!

Harsh about Elison - I'd expect him to be out for a while - though perhaps not as bad as Tommy Bridewell (I think thats his name!), who went to Thruxton with with 10 fingers, and is leaving with 9 - needless to say he didn't race, but had a nasty crash on Friday!

Today's BSB was top class, especially race 1 that was epic.Good to see Josh Brookes get his maiden win, hopefully he might calm down a bit now !.Real shame for James Ellison though, broken femur is a nightmare injury for a rider.I reckon he would have been a title contender this year as well.

Next weekend's MotoGP round at Motegi has been postponed until October 3rd due to the volcanic ash, source Here .Would post my reaction to that but fear I might break the swear filter ! :)

Vermuelen has been out injured Chris so he would need to go from your selection.

Don't know what that's going to do, but at this rate, I may just overtake pete hopefully ;D

Too right - A good Sundays' racing!

The GP race was brilliant (complete opposite from the same race last year), hard to believe that Rossi was the slowest bike down the straight yet he still won. Says alot about his control around the bendy bits! But the Honda certainly doesn't seem to be the mess that Pedrosa was saying it is - it was like a rocket!

Real hard luck for Hayden, not often you see a Ducati losing out down a straight! Almost forgot Lorenzo was racing until the final few laps, I think he saw Spies (very impressive) getting closer and didn't like it so he got a shuffle on!

A season to look forward to I think.

The Wsb wasn't too bad either - I think Toseland did well to get on the podium - I liked his quote in the after race interview "remember me, I'm James Toseland!"

I've made a few adjustments to the fantasy team too, which should put me well in contention for that R6!

Absolutely awesome racing today.

First off massively relieved to hear Simon Andrews is OK (ish) following his horrendous crash in Race 2,source here suggests he was hit from the behind on the pit straight ?.To escape that with a broken heel is very lucky indeed.Gutted for Camier in Race 2 as he was clearly giving it everything, but great to see Toseland on the podium in Race 1.

MotoGP race was epic.Think Stoner might want to borrow Valentino's donkey helmet for the next race !.Great to Hayden back up at the front again,he was well unlucky not to be on the podium. What did I predict that we would have 2 fast Ducati's this year ?.Fantastic job by a very crocked Lorenzo as well, watched the Friday free practice and he really looked like he was really struggling with that hand injury. That Honda seems a real weapon on the straights as well.Rossi did just what he had to today as he knows it's very early days yet.Just love Spies riding style, brilliant to see him in MotoGP.I'm expecting him to upset some big names this year.Think were in for classic season.

Yer I though the same thing about my team although it turns out the expensive riders havent been on track yet. Their first race is on Sunday about 6ish and apparently it'll probably be on BBC.

Also, like to pic of D Pedrosa in your team.
