Not sure if they are breaking any rules or just bending them a little bit?,interesting article on it here
You're right that is quite interesting - I think they're ok because they won't be testing an eligible machine. The 1000cc is not eligible until next year.......though maybe that's just being picky.
As regards the GP in Jerez, I do think the marshalls paid a bit more attention to Rossi which isn't very fair, but it's not Rossi's fault.
In other news, I had a play on this yesterday. It's a shame it costs 7 grand as it really was a lot of fun!

Do Rossi and Ducati know they can't realistically win the title this year so have decided to start getting ready for the return of the 1000's next season? I reckon having Rossi and Hayden's input so early in the bikes development can only be a good thing.
Regarding next years switch to 1000's,Tech3 have confirmed they will continue as Yamaha's satellite outfit,Gresini likewise for Honda.Scott Redding's VDS team are apparently seriously looking into running a GP team next season along with the likes of Aprilia and BMW who are looking to enter the series. Some more GP machines out there would be very welcome.
Great ride from Bradley Smith in Moto2 but again Andrea Iannone proved to be a real force in that series.
Was really impressed with Bradley, and Iannone for that matter! Watching those bike sideways going round corners will always put a smile on my face!
Seems Scott Redding is having a few issues - Eurosport were mentioning something about him having a front end issue and his team having fallen out with the Chassis developer. Hopefully they'll sort something as Redding is certainly a front runner.
As for the main event, where do you start? The Rossi/Stoner clash will certainly be a talking point. To be honest I was slightly surprised by Stoner's comments and reaction when Rossi went to the Repsol Honda pit after the race to apologise.''Yeah, ambition obviously outweighed your talent?'',what the hell was that supposed to mean? Rossi made a rare mistake and was honest enough to hold his hand up and admit to it.Not really a very sporting reaction from a bloke who has obviously never had the front end of a Ducati suddenly fold on him then?..........
The GP was great to watch, every time you start thinking you know the result, another one slides off and they all change positions again. Really disappointing for Colin Edwards and Crutchlow though!
I had a feeling Rossi was going to end up on the floor the way he was going through the field and it had to be Stoner that got taken out by it! Was a bit unfair of the marshalls to set Rossi on his way before helping him, but they had to go to him first as he had a bike laying on him!
Absolutely gutted for Simoncelli,he was awesome today...(
I agree, he probably won't have a better to chance to win a GP for a while, but from what all the riders were saying about the tyre conditions towards the end of the race, I think we were lucky there were any finishers!
More of the same please!

The accident aside,Rossi proved he can make the Duke go forward when he has to.It was still overall a much more encouraging weekend for him and his recovery was very impressive. The sport really needs him to be at the sharp end of the grid.
Extremely good ride from Cal Crutchlow at a circuit he'd never raced on before in conditions he had never ridden a GP bike in,encouraging stuff.
Absolutely gutted for Simoncelli,he was awesome today but anyone could have gone off in those conditions. With my fantasy GP team consisting of him and Spies I added a big fat zero to my points tally this afternoon :(
Had Melandri been a footballer, he would've held his face and cried.
Had Melandri been a footballer that would have been a career ending injury! :P
Seriously though, the whole episode was a complete farce.Biaggi stormed down the pit lane with his J-Lo'esque entourage and proceeded to create what I can only describe as handbags at dawn.As for the fine, that is a complete joke,he hardly unleashed 3000 Euro's worth of pain and suffering! Melandri just stared at him with a 'what the hell was that supposed to be?' expression. They should just let the guys race and if they fall out off track now and again then so what? As for Biaggi,I'm sure he recalls another younger Italian arriving in MotoGP about a decade ago making life very hard for him.Perhaps he fears history is about to repeat itself?
Jerez should be good, historically a strong track for Yamaha.Be interesting to see if they have an answer to the orange missiles?
Either way, definitely a weekend to forget for Biaggi, roll on Jerez this weekend!
Yeah, the Biaggi thing was strange.Do you reckon he chose to ignore the instruction knowing he would be black flagged rather than taking the ride through and end up chugging around at the back with no chance of any real points?
Gutted for Sykes in Race 1,he was absolutely on it.Not sure what went wrong for him in Race 2 but whatever it was doesn't look like his spare bike suited him quite so well.
Laverty was very lucky in Superpole,R1's are very nice but I wouldn't fancy wearing one!
