Any of you people going off to Uni this year? Now that I've got all my offers back from UCAS I'm trying to decide between Portsmouth and Sussex, both of which are courses in Film Studies. I'm also trying to save money which is proving difficult thanks to a trip to Disneyland next month, plenty of interesting films coming to cinema and DVD and my lack of ability to part with any of my stuff when I look for things to sell.

It's a strange feeling that this year I'll be leaving home and starting a whole different chapter of my life. Getting quite excited about the whole thing, apart from the fact that I'll be leaving my girlfriend here and having to begin a dreaded long distance relationship.

So, who's going, where, and what are you doing?

Cheers, its good to hear an opinion of a Uni I'm looking at, that isn't published in their own prospectus. I hear it's quite rough down there. Are the rumours true or are things really not that bad.

well, i'm currently doing Computer Animation at Portsmouth uni and i've found their media department to be pretty damn good. certainly a good choice for film studies alright. theyy're actually quite good at the arty side of life in general, well, besides music :-\

You applied to the 'Micky Mouse' uni in Leicester and then wondered why you applied to the proper one?

What!?!

DMU is for silly people who can't write their names.

And I got all my replies back really late, don't worry though, I got 6 acceptances! Even with predicted grades of CDE I got offered a place with ABB grades!
