Any of you people going off to Uni this year? Now that I've got all my offers back from UCAS I'm trying to decide between Portsmouth and Sussex, both of which are courses in Film Studies. I'm also trying to save money which is proving difficult thanks to a trip to Disneyland next month, plenty of interesting films coming to cinema and DVD and my lack of ability to part with any of my stuff when I look for things to sell.

It's a strange feeling that this year I'll be leaving home and starting a whole different chapter of my life. Getting quite excited about the whole thing, apart from the fact that I'll be leaving my girlfriend here and having to begin a dreaded long distance relationship.

So, who's going, where, and what are you doing?

For the purpose of my 6 choices on the UCAS form I've decided on:

Liverpool
Manchester
Sheffield

Can anyone suggest 3 more?

Plus, it's also snowing right now. Not a great excuse, but if you've only seen snow three times in your home city ever, it's a given.

Manchester's a nice place to go to, the med and bio students there are really outgoing and lively. There's also the added benefit* of meeting me!!!

*Depending on how drunk you are.

I believe, that as a mature student I will need to go through interviews, etc. so even though I know where I wanna go and the course I wanna do, I have to apply at other unis, so can you please all suggest some places for me to apply doing biological sciences, esp. Zoology & Evolution? I need somewhere with a good social atmosphere, like Southampton (which I will apply to), where's good?

There are too many floors, most with some place to get a drink.

The Barony does a cool thing on Fridays where they award folk with drink for doing stupid things.

What you doing?

My girlfriend and friends are doing Business... your Union is cool.

It works out as a C+ I think... not the best but neither was the essay.

Got an A for History YEY

I'm at Strathclyde (in Glasgow)

But looks like I may have to drop out of this year and go back after Summer due to missing the first semester because I was ill.
