Any of you people going off to Uni this year? Now that I've got all my offers back from UCAS I'm trying to decide between Portsmouth and Sussex, both of which are courses in Film Studies. I'm also trying to save money which is proving difficult thanks to a trip to Disneyland next month, plenty of interesting films coming to cinema and DVD and my lack of ability to part with any of my stuff when I look for things to sell.

It's a strange feeling that this year I'll be leaving home and starting a whole different chapter of my life. Getting quite excited about the whole thing, apart from the fact that I'll be leaving my girlfriend here and having to begin a dreaded long distance relationship.

So, who's going, where, and what are you doing?

Had a quick talk to my college tutor about the course. She's saying Sussex and was quite impressed I got in as it's apparently quite hard. I'm favouring Sussex at the moment, but I may be put off by what I see and hear on the Open Day (Like my Bournemouth experience).

Very important and hard choice to make...

Of course it would help if I could spell Sheffiled :P Derby's my first choice for the course because it's just closer to me. Sheffield would mean taking the train everyday, which has some appeal because it means no driving through irate rush hour drivers.

well i spent christmas with 5 stiches in my head thanks to a random bottling so yeah, it's pretty rough. but if you were living in the student digs then you wouldnt need to venture into the really bad parts, the new accommodation is actually in not too bad an area.

I'll be going to another uni once I graduate, either derby or Sheffiled by the looks of it.

Was interested in their script writing course. Went to one of their open days, nice place (as you'd expect from Bournmouth) but the course just wasn't for me. £10,000 just to write and they told us before we even began that there is a very low chance of employment afterwards.
