Agreed, it was perfect. I've never been sadder at the end of a series than I am now. I've got genuine respect for Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant for knowing when to bow out gracefully, they could have made a mint by making a third, fourth, fifth series. That's artistic integrity for you.

Right up there with Fawlty Towers in my book.

If i was Brent i would have been thinking the same thing.

When Tim, Brent and Gareth were standing talking towards the end, my eyes were just fixed on the door waiting for Dawn to come through. I thought a lot of (if not all) people will be doing this, so perhaps it was intended to fool us. Then she walked in and I smiled.

My girlfriend who is the biggest, most obsessive fan of the programme that I have ever met, missed it (yes, yes...if she was that big of a fan she would of watched it, but anyway) because she's out with mates tonight. So being the caring indevidual that I am, I text her saying Brent kills himself.

Perfect finish to a perfect comedy. Let's hope his next project is as good.
