"Blank - El Cielo"

Just ordered this Dredg album, for pretty cheap off Amazon.

I wait with much anticipation.

Yeah - much less them based than El Cielo. With their second album they took the lucid dream feeling really far, but Leitmotif is just a straigh chunk of rock music. Although I don't feel it suffers from being such. It's still one of my favourite albums, I swear I'll listen to it tonight.

Was just listening to it.

It can't be broken up into songs really. One has to listen to the whole ting else it falls apart, if you see what I mean.

It does have some brilliant raw grungy stuff, and is pretty damn screamy in places. I prefer El Cielo so far, but Leitmotif isn't bad at all, if a little less developed.

When I first played El Cielo to my friend (the one who introduced me to Dredg via sample CD but didn't buy the albums) she didn't even recognise it as the same singer. He seems to have changed a lot.

Anyway, my exams are over now until May/June, so I can finally listen to music again. And Dredg are top of the list at the moment.

Ah, but Pumpkins are exempt from any comparison, so they = Gods.

Leitmotif, me got today.

I see what you mean about heavier/different voice etc.

I've not really heard it properly, but it does sound pretty good.

And who was it that recommended Dredg again? :)

By the way, have you got Leitmotif yet?

Papa Roach are the epitome of what is wrong with rock music.

Them and Linkin Park = atrocity in music form

I quite like Papa Roach. Well, I used to. I don't really know if I still do, I haven't listened to them in ages. Dredg are far better though. They just use the same promotion company, hence the CDs.

That's why I was suprised to see it written in their thanks list.
I doubt Papa Roach was their inspiration. Well, hope so.
