Chelsea have apparently said they would be prepared to table a bid for £60 million if he were available at that price.

This comes only days after offering Arsenal £40-50 million for Henry.

So. Van the man is worth more to Chelsea than Henry eh?

Well you can it just depends on if you actually buy smart. So far the only signings Ranieri made that have impressed me are Duff and Cole in little bursts.

Crespo, Mutu, Jimmy, Eidur, Forssell, Carlton Cole......

Duff or Joe Cole can play there if need be.

Not so much that he's worth more, just that Henry was first choice, and now they're just getting desperate so they need to up the bid, even for inferior players. :-)

Anyway, after tonights performance against Villa, I'd say Chelsea DO need a decent striker. And another 8 or 9 places also need filling!

What Chelski need is a competent right-winger who can dribble, pass and cross well. And be able to score from free kicks. But Beckham's taken, so it's back to the drawing board, then... :D

chelsea don't need to spend in the window, however if they do a right midfielder would be the highest priority in my book. maybe another CB for when we ship Dessa of in the summer. Chivu would have been ideal, but has just gone to roma, Lucio would do or Metzelder just so long as they are under 25.

So do Chelsea have an infinite supply of money they can keep giving us? Because that's the only way they're getting Ruud. He's god and as such deserves a god like price slapped upon his head especially if he was going to join one of our rivals. Also a nice little chuckle that he's worth more than Henry. (as he should be)
