Chelsea have apparently said they would be prepared to table a bid for £60 million if he were available at that price.

This comes only days after offering Arsenal £40-50 million for Henry.

So. Van the man is worth more to Chelsea than Henry eh?

*adds fuel to the burning fire of hatred that exists between Utd and Arsenal fans*

ER yes because it doesn't agree with my blatantly correct opinion it is wrong. We qualified for the champions league last 16 by a mile. Thumped newcastle and lazio two high quality champions league teams. We are in the top 3 and have only just lost 1st place. we have lost 2 league matches all season and one was against arsenal which we lost through a comical goal keeping error from the most reliable keeper in the league, and the other was against a bolton team which every one can see we played of the park, with an error from yet another hugely reliable player. England international John Terry. Anyone who claims the players and team aren't playing impressively is clearly talking crap.

Yes shame on me for expressing an opinion. Let me highlight a part of my post for you - the only signings Ranieri made THAT HAVE IMPRESSED ME etc etc.

Special highlight on the word ME, not you and not even good old Ranieri himself, but my opinion, which just because it doesn't agree with your biased opinion is worthless and wrong??

From watching the Chelsea games so far this season and yes i will admit i have only watched the games involving Chelsea that have been aired on Sky in the Champions League or the League itself and not to the mention the Villa game the other day these are the only 2 that have actually made me sit up and notice them.
Yes Crespo makes me sit up and notice him as well but only due to his glaring misses. The only thing i've noticed about Johnson is watching him get sent off, Bridge has proved nothing to me, Makalele is doing nothing that other players in the same role for their clubs aren't doing each week and the same goes for Geremi. Mutu has been out injured hasn't he? If not then why isn't he being played if they pay so much money for him. That's all i can be bothered to comment on at the moment due to it being late and my mind is too fuzzy to remember the other 476 signings Ranieri has made.

So unless those players are performing acts comparable to Jesus in the games i'm not getting to see then i will hold my opinion whatever you think about it until those players prove me wrong.

Birmingham have only had 3

They are spread all over the place. Boro having 5.

And Roma, the Serie A Leaders are scoring more goals per game than Arsenal, Man u or Chelsea. As are Juve.

a little team called birmingham may have helped in that department, but not any more... plus it could just be that because english football is played at a faster pace and creates more chances it seems better. it always seems more disappointing when its 0-0, because were used to a goal being scored.

(just out of interest, do you (don) and aj play devils advocate, or do you seriously enjoy it?)

if you want goals galore, just get into the j-league. a regular 4-3 match every week. every goals a screamer, or pathetic goalkeeping and defending. good stuff though.

im glad to see our young gun - ners performing well in the worthless cup. they play reasonably well as a team, not flawlessly but they look good. it gives us the chance to show our players and gives them some exposure. im not certain they can win it, but i have confidence. i just hope if we dont do briliantly in the first leg of the semis, that wenger doesnt put the superstars in. its making us good money aswell.

We should buy Trezeguet. We're not gonna get Henry of Van Nistelrooy and Trezeguet is a good youngish striker who will score goals.

Duff and cole are the only one's that have impressed you say? I've been down the Bridge 6 or 7 times this season, and watched them on the box, and Mutu, Makelele and Johnson have all been fantastic, (except for the bolton game) and last night's performance, where he messed around with the team, is nothing to go by, he just used it as an experiment. Though an unsuccessful one.

Christian Vieri, Thierry Henry, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and now David Trezeguet... They have a different goal-scorer for each day of the week!!

Abramovich obviously doesn't have a clue about football, now, does he!

The £120m-worth of players he already bought at the start of the season are still strugglign to find consistency as some kind of 'team', and yet he wants to try and unsettle them further by bringing in ANOTHER world-class player - just because they're losing "easy games"!

If you're losing games, and you want it to stop, you need to have a word with your manager, and, in-turn, get him to sort out his team, first.

You can't just BUY yourself 3-points, y'know!

We all knew it when he first started spending, and it looks like it's starting to happen already; Chelsea do not have a `team´! They're just a rediculously-big squad of talented individuals from around the world.

Like a `Super Dream Team´ - but, it's a squad!
