My sound has now not been working for ages and ages, and I do not have a clue why.

Everythign is plugged in correctly, etc but under control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices, it still says 'No Audio Device'.

When I try to play something in Windows Media Player, again it says ' Cannot play back the audio stream, no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding'.

Please please please does anyone know what's wrong, because I NEED my music???

This happened to be a while back, turned out I kicked the lead from the back of my speaker out.

Does he mean the brand of the hardware or speakerS?

You should have CD's that came with your PC. They'll have the driver on.

Alternatively tell me what brand it is and get the drivers off the Internet.

Gotta go now, that should fix your problems.

It says I need a disk. What disk will this be as the hardware came with the PC?

Click the Multimedia Audio controller and follow the instructions. I'm guessing you deleted your drivers or something.
